Marc Marcoprim Bolus – Broad-Spectrum Veterinary Antibiotic

Rs. 759.00

Marcoprim Bolus is a potent veterinary antibacterial bolus containing Co-trimoxazole (Sulfamethoxazole + Trimethoprim), designed to combat a wide range of bacterial infections in livestock. Ideal for cattle, buffaloes, goats, and sheep, it treats respiratory infections, diarrhea, urinary tract infections, mastitis, wound infections, and reproductive tract infections. By combining two antibiotics that inhibit bacterial folic acid synthesis at different points, Marcoprim Bolus ensures rapid recovery, reduces stress, and helps maintain herd productivity.

Active Ingredient

Co-trimoxazole – A combination of:

  • Sulfamethoxazole – A sulfonamide that inhibits bacterial growth by blocking folic acid synthesis.
  • Trimethoprim – Enhances antibacterial effect by inhibiting a different step in folic acid production.

Mechanism: The combination produces a synergistic bactericidal effect, stopping bacterial multiplication and accelerating infection control.

Key Features & Benefits

  • Broad-Spectrum Action: Effective against a wide range of bacterial infections.
  • Dual Antibiotic Synergy: Enhances antibacterial potency for faster results.
  • Promotes Quick Recovery: Reduces downtime and stress in affected animals.
  • Reduces Secondary Infections: Protects animals during vulnerable periods.
  • Improves Feed Intake & Energy Levels: Helps restore productivity.
  • Supports Herd Health: Minimizes economic losses for livestock owners.

How It Works

  • Rapid Absorption: Once administered, Co-trimoxazole enters the bloodstream and reaches infected tissues quickly.
  • Dual Inhibition: Sulfamethoxazole and Trimethoprim inhibit bacterial folate metabolism at two separate points.
  • Bactericidal Action: The combination kills bacteria rather than just inhibiting growth.
  • Faster Recovery: Reduces disease duration, improves appetite, and restores animal health efficiently.
